Effective date: October 1, 2026
Localhost Finder is designed to work locally on your Android device and local network. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how that information is handled, and how Google Play Billing is used.
Localhost Finder does not send personal data, local network scan results, IP addresses, ports, saved profiles, browsing history, or diagnostics to the developer. The app has no developer-operated backend, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or account system.
The app uses local network access to discover devices and services on the same network as your Android device. It may connect to private IP addresses and ports you request, including HTTP and HTTPS endpoints. Scan results are processed on-device.
HTTP traffic to a local development server may be unencrypted. For discovery of HTTPS development servers, the app can probe servers that use self-signed, expired, hostname-mismatched, or otherwise untrusted development certificates. This relaxed certificate handling is used only for discovery of local endpoints and does not modify Android system trust settings.
The app may store recent ports, recently discovered local hosts, saved profiles, theme preferences, and Pro feature preferences locally on your device. These settings are not uploaded to the developer. Android cloud backup is disabled for Localhost Finder.
If you purchase Localhost Finder Pro, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Localhost Finder does not receive or store your payment card or bank account details. The app receives purchase entitlement information from Google Play so it can unlock and restore Pro features. Payment processing is governed by Google Play and Google's applicable privacy terms.
The developer does not sell or share your personal data. The app communicates with Google Play only where required for Google Play Billing and distribution services.
Localhost Finder is a developer utility and is not directed to children.
This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
For privacy questions, contact the developer using the support email shown on the Localhost Finder Google Play store page.
